If you are a talented filmmaker who can deliver a creative, insightful interview…
- It takes a special talent to be able to create a great interview, and not just anyone can generate insights and depth beyond a simple conversation.
- Your challenge is to capture what it’s really like to be engaged in a given profession, what it’s really like to do the job…the challenges, setbacks, rewards and moments that make it special. Getting beyond the standard sorts of information, we want you to dive into what it’s really like to do the job.
- We provide you with a basic structure of 15 questions for your interview…you take it from there by creating 1-2 minute insightful answers (per question)
- All you need is a good camera, your editing skills, and a great interviewee…
If you can find an interesting working professional to be your subject…
- You come in contact with lots of working people every day, which of these people would make a memorable and informative interview?
- You choose the profession that your subject represents from the list of
possible job titles
- Sign up for the contest with that profession and you’re ready to start filming…
If you can be one of the first 100 people to answer this challenge…
This contest will accept the first 100 entries submitted and judge each one on the following criteria:
- Informative – How well does the interview help people understand what it’s really like to do a given job?
- Creative – Answer the 15 questions and follow the basic parameters but also integrate B-roll and your creativity to give it life and your own touch.
- Technical – Are your video and sound clear? (Don’t forget a mike), Is your lighting bright when it should be and dark if it makes sense?
The top three videos selected will win the following prizes…
- Apple MacBook Pro that combines the power to edit video with the
freedom of a laptop
- Lighting Kit to brighten any close up shots with the perfect level of lighting
- $500 gift card to spend as you like at any Best Buy electronics retail outlet

"It's always exciting to finish a video project. Hours, days, and months end up compressed into about 3 minutes. So much effort, so much heart, and so much brain power end up on my
15 inch computer screen.”
“Just finishing the video brings a wave of satisfaction. But imagine actually winning the contest! I was beyond ecstatic to find out my hard work won first place! It just goes to show that anything is possible, SERIOUSLY!"
