Background:

The Career Scholarship is designed to help students like you better figure out what you want to do with your life after school. By conducting video interviews and watching interviews done by others, you should get a better feel for your work interests. This means aiming for jobs you are likely to like rather than those you won’t.

One thing is certain – having a laptop or some extra money will help you through school, so why not give it a shot.

So, are you talented enough to deliver a creative and insightful interview?

  • It takes a special talent to be able to create a great interview, and not just anyone can generate insights and depth beyond a simple conversation.
  • Your challenge is to capture what it’s really like to be engaged in a given profession, what it’s really like to do the job…the challenges, setbacks, rewards and moments that make it special. Go beyond the common information, we want you to dive into what it’s really like to do the job.
  • We provide you with a basic structure of 15 questions for your interview…you take it from there by creating 1-2 minute insightful answers (per question)
  • All you need is a good camera, your editing skills, and a great interviewee…

“Just finishing the video brings a wave of satisfaction. But imagine actually winning the contest! I was beyond ecstatic to find out my hard work won first place! It just goes to show that anything is possible, SERIOUSLY!"
